Its metabolism is unique among amide anesthetics because it is partially metabolized in the plasma (due to its ester group) and partially in the liver, leading to faster clearance from the body. PACKAGING & DOSAGE
One pack contains 10 vials.
Active ingredient: Articaine hydrochloride 40 mg.
Excipients: Epinephrine, sodium chloride,sodium metabisulfite, hydrochloric acid or sodium hydroxide, water for injection.
Adults: Maximum 7 mg/kg body weight.
Children (>4 years old): Dose adjusted based on weight, usually 5 mg/kg .
Maximum dose: Generally 500 mg total for adults (equivalent to ~7 cartridges of 1.8 mL, depending on formulation).
SIDE EFFECTS AND PRECAUTIONS
