DESCRIPTION
Chloropyramine solution for injection contains Chloropyramine hydrochloride, a first-generation antihistamine (H1-blocker) used to treat allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis, urticaria, angioedema, and insect bites. It has antihistaminic, sedative, anti-inflammatory, and anticholinergic properties.
 
Chloropyramine binds to the histamine H1 receptor. This blocks the action of endogenous histamine, which subsequently leads to temporary relief of the negative symptoms brought on by histamine.

PACKAGING & DOSAGE
One pack contains 5 ampoules.
Active ingredient: Chloropyramine hydrochloride 20 mg.
Excipients: Lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, starch.
 
Adults: 20-40 mg per day (contents of 1-2 ampoules).
Treatment in children starts with a dose of 5 mg (0.25 ml). Later the dose is increased depending on the age of the child.
Children 1-12 months, 5 mg (0.25 ml).
Children aged 1-6 years, 10 mg (0.5 ml).
Children aged 7-18 years, 10-20 mg (0.5-1 ml).
The daily dose should not exceed 2 mg/kg body weight.
 
In severe allergies, treatment should be started with an injectable form of chloropyramine. At first it is given slowly intravenously, then it is transferred to intramuscular injection.

SIDE EFFECTS AND PRECAUTIONS
