DESCRIPTION
Glucose Bufus 40% is a clear, colorless solution containing 400 mg of glucose per ml. It is hypertonic compared to blood plasma, meaning it has a higher osmolarity than blood. This makes it suitable for cases where a concentrated glucose source is required. Each ampoule contains 4 grams of glucose in 10 ml of solution.
Glucose is an essential energy source for cellular functions. After intravenous administration, it is rapidly absorbed by tissues and used in metabolic processes such as glycolysis and the citric acid cycle, ultimately producing ATP.

Benefits:
  • Rapid energy supply: Useful in acute hypoglycemia or when quick energy replenishment is needed.
  • Flexible dosing: The concentrated form allows for the administration of smaller volumes, which is beneficial for patients with fluid restrictions.
PACKAGING & DOSAGE
One pack contains 10 vials of 10 ml.
Active ingredient: Glucose monohydrate, 400 mg/ml.
Excipients: Sterile water for injection.

Adults: Dosage depends on clinical condition, blood glucose levels, and energy requirements. In acute hypoglycemia, a bolus of 20-50 ml of the 40% solution may be administered.
Children: Dosage must be carefully adjusted based on body weight and clinical condition.

SIDE EFFECTS AND PRECAUTIONS
