DESCRIPTION
Akriderm provides a fast relief from itching, redness, and inflammation. Improves skin texture by exfoliating dead cells and reducing scales. Prevents worsening of skin conditions by reducing excessive skin cell production and controlling irritation. Akriderm is a combination topical ointment that works through the actions of its two active ingredients:
Betamethasone dipropionate (corticosteroid):
Reduces inflammation by suppressing the immune response in the skin.
Decreases redness, swelling, and itching by inhibiting the release of inflammatory substances.
Helps control overactive skin cell growth in conditions like psoriasis.
Salicylic acid (Keratolytic Agent):
Softens and removes the outer layer of thickened or scaly skin by breaking down keratin.
Enhances the penetration of betamethasone into deeper skin layers, making it more effective.
Has mild antiseptic properties, preventing secondary infections in affected areas.
PACKAGING & DOSAGE
In aluminum tube - 15 g.
Active ingredient: Betamethasone – 0.64 mg per 1 g, Gentamicin – 1 mg per 1 g, Clotrimazole – 10 mg per 1 g.
Excipients: Propyl parahydroxybenzoate (nipazole), liquid paraffin (vaseline oil), isopropyl myristate, petroleum jelly.
Apply a thin layer to the affected skin once or twice daily. Typically 2-4 weeks, depending on the severity of the condition.
SIDE EFFECTS AND PRECAUTIONS
- Skin irritation (burning, itching, redness).
- Thinning of the skin (atrophy).
- Stretch marks (striae).
- Acne or folliculitis.
- Do not apply on open wounds or broken skin.
