DESCRIPTION
Tetracycline works by inhibiting protein synthesis thus preventing the growth of cells and stopping the medical problem. The antibiotic does not absorb fully from the gastrointestinal tract and the patient usually gets about 60% of the dose taken. The maximum amount is contained in the plasma approximately 1-3 hours after the medication is taken. The penetration into all organs and tissues is observed. The substance can accumulate in bones, liver, teeth, spleen, etc. The preparation is excreted from the body with feces, urine and partly with bile. The medication should be applied with caution because renal insufficiency can bring to the condition of drug accumulation.

PACKAGING & DOSAGE
Seek your doctor's consultation before use. The medication comes in the form of tablets, eye ointment and skin ointment. The pack includes 20 tablets or 100 mg per tablet of active substance Tetracycline. Eye ointment - 3 gramms, Topical ointment - 15 gramms.

Tablets: For adults, the drug is prescribed 200-300 mg every 6 hours. The daily dose of the drug is up to 2000 mg. It is important to pay attention to the fact that dairy products can interfere with the absorption.
Eye ointment: Placed behind the eyelid every 2-4 hours or more. The duration of use depends on the form of the disease: with trachoma - 1-2 months or longer (possibly a combination with drugs of systemic action).
Topical ointment: The ointment is applied to the affected skin 1-2 times a day (it is possible to apply an occlusive dressing).

The medication should not be taken by children younger that 12 years of age.
