DESCRIPTION
Suprastin is an antihistamine used to relieve symptoms of allergic reactions such as hay fever, urticaria (hives), and other skin or respiratory allergies. It contains Chloropyramine hydrochloride, a first-generation antihistamine that works by blocking histamine receptors (H1), which are responsible for causing allergic symptoms such as itching, swelling, and nasal congestion.

PACKAGING & DOSAGE
Suprastin comes in the form of tablets or solution for injection.
Tablets:
Active ingredient: Chloropyramine hydrochloride (25 mg).
Excipients: Lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone, corn starch.
Children (1–6 years): 1/4 tablet (6.25 mg) 1–2 times daily.
Children (6–14 years): 1/2 tablet (12.5 mg) 1–2 times daily.
Adults & Children (14+ years): 1 tablet (25 mg) 1–3 times daily (max 75 mg).
The tablets should be taken after meals.
Injectables:
1 ampoule contains chloropyramine hydrochloride 20 mg.
Active ingredient: Chloropyramine hydrochloride (20mg).
Excipients: water for injection - 5 ml.
Adults: Daily dose is 1-2 ml (1-2 ampoules).
Children: (1 month - 12 months): 0.25 ml (1/4 ampoule).
Children: (1-6 years): 0.5 ml (1/2 ampoule).
Children: (6-14 years): 0.5 to 1 ml (1/2 to 1 ampoule).
