Description

PHENAZALGIN® (Phenazopyridine) - is a drug with analgesic effects, which is prescribed as a part of therapy for patients diagnosed with urinary diseases. It is often taken with one of the antibiotics or an anti-infection drug for immediate relief of pain. Medical experts recommend using the preparation at the beginning of the therapy as it doesn’t treat the disease itself. It only helps the patient to get rid of unpleasant symptoms. The medication is taken for two days when the treatment course begins. It is not recommended to take it longer due to its property of concealing symptoms.  It can be especially acute during the inappropriate treatment of UTI therefore the therapy period shouldn’t last longer than a couple of days. Longer use of the drug can hide symptoms thus showing a wrong picture of the situation.

This is a normal effect that doesn’t do any harm and shouldn’t be a matter of concern. It just tells about the presence of medication in the organism.
