DESCRIPTION
Mometazon Sandoz contains the active substance mometasone furoate. It is available in the form of a nasal spray. Mometazon Sandoz is used in adults and children from the age of six to treat the symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis or chronic rhinitis (inflammation of the nasal cavities caused by an allergy such as hay fever or an allergy that occurs throughout the year).
It is also used to prevent moderate to severe symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis before pollen season begins. In addition, it is used in adults to treat the symptoms of nasal polyps (growths on the inside of the nose). The active substance, mometasone furoate, belongs to the group of 'glucocorticoids'. The substance works by attaching to receptors in various types of immune cells. This leads to a reduced release of substances that play a role in the inflammatory process and thus to a reduction in the symptoms of the allergy.
PACKAGING & DOSAGE
One pack contains one nasal spray, 10 grams per bottle.

Adults & children (12+ years): 2 sprays per nostril once daily (total: 200 mcg/day)
