DESCRIPTION
Febentel works by binding to tubulin, a protein that is part of the microtubules in the cells of parasites. This binding disrupts the formation and function of microtubules, leading to the parasites' inability to absorb nutrients, resulting in their eventual death. This mode of action makes fenbendazole effective against both adult and larval stages of many parasitic worms.
Febentel works by inhibiting microtubule formation in parasites, leading to energy depletion and their eventual death.
Febentel is effective against roundworms, tapeworms, hookworms, whipworms, and other parasitic infections such as neurocysticercosis (brain infection caused by Taenia solium larvae) and hydatid disease (caused by Echinococcus species). Febentel is administered orally, often as a single dose or short treatment course, depending on the infection.
