DESCRIPTION
Selectively inhibits short-term MAO type A, blocks deamination of serotonin and noradrenaline, to a lesser extent - of tyramine. Partially inhibits the reuptake of Monoamines, potentiate the effects of dihydroxyphenylalanine (L-dofa) - norepinephrine precursor and 5-oxitriptofana - serotonin precursor. Stimulates adrenergic and serotonergic structures. Activates processes of synaptic transmission of nerve excitation in the central nervous system. Has nootropic effect and improves cognitive functions.Thymoleptic effect of Pirazidol combines with balanced effect on the central nervous system (incentive (activated) effect in the patients with apathetic and anergical depressions or sedative effect in the patients with agitated state).

PACKAGING & DOSAGE
Active substance: pirlindol
Excipients: lactose, starch, calcium stearate.

The initial dose is 50-100mg 2 times per day, the dose is gradually increased by 50mg to 150-300mg/day. The maximum recommended dose is 400mg/day, divided into 2 parts. After the therapeutic effect has been achieved the treatment should be maintained during 2-4 weeks, after that the dose is gradually reduced.
