DESCRIPTION
Papaverine Hydrochloride works by inhibiting phosphodiesterase enzymes, leading to increased levels of cyclic AMP (cAMP) and cyclic GMP (cGMP). This causes the relaxation of smooth muscles, particularly in blood vessels, improving blood flow and reducing spasms.
Papaverine is intended for the treatment of various ailments. It contains the active substance papaverine hydrochloride, which has an antispasmodic effect on the smooth muscles of organs. Papaverine is used to treat severe abdominal pain, vascular spasms, pain in neuralgia, gastric ulcer, cholecystitis, as well as other diseases associated with decreased smooth muscle tone. Papaverine is available in tablet form and injection, each tablet contains 40 mg of papaverine hydrochloride.
Papaverine works by relaxing the smooth muscles in the blood vessels of the penis, leading to increased blood flow, which can help achieve and maintain an erection. It does this by inhibiting enzymes that regulate smooth muscle contraction (such as phosphodiesterases), allowing the blood vessels to expand.
Papaverine is also available as a rectal suppository. Used to treat spasms of the smooth muscles of the abdominal organs. They contain the active substance papaverine hydrochloride, which helps to relax the muscles, eliminating spasms and pain in the gastrointestinal tract, urinary and female organs. Suppositories are easily inserted into the rectum and are quickly absorbed, starting to act a few minutes after use. Read further:
