LICOPID (Glucosaminyl muramyl dipeptide) is a high-tech drug with a wide spectrum of action. The development of the drug and the study of its properties have been going on for over 20 years. Joint efforts of leading experts from Russia, Great Britain, Australia, Latvia have been invested in the development of the drug. The work on the creation of Licopid was assessed as a serious achievement of domestic science in the treatment of many immune-dependent disorders. The topic "Development and creation of biotechnological production of Licopid - a new immunocorrective drug" was in 1996 awarded the Russian Federation Government Prize in the field of science and technology. Recent discoveries in the field of immunology, for which the Nobel Prize in Medicine was awarded, have helped to understand the mechanism of action of immunomodulators of microbial origin through innate immunity receptors.

DESCRIPTION
Licopid is a representative of the latest generation of bacterial immunomodulators, containing minimal biologically active fragments (MBAF). MBAF, being the smallest fragment of the bacterial wall, is a part of beneficial bacteria. Licopid is effective in the treatment of bacterial, fungal, viral diseases with frequent recurrences throughout the year. Licopid stimulates all parts of the immune system. The action of Licopid is most closely related to the process of natural immunoregulation. Licopid is free of bacterial contaminants that could cause side effects. The mechanism of action has been studied at the molecular level.
