DESCRIPTION
Espa-Bastin contains the active ingredient ebastine. Ebastine is a second-generation antihistamine (H1-receptor antagonist) used to treat allergic conditions such as hay fever (allergic rhinitis) and urticaria (hives). It has a long-lasting, non-sedative effect and does not significantly cross the blood-brain barrier, making it less likely to cause drowsiness compared to first-generation antihistamines like chloropyramine. PACKAGING & DOSAGE
The 10 mg and 20 mg package contain both 10 tablets.
Active ingredient: Ebastine 10 mg or Ebastine 20 mg.
Excipients: Microcrystalline cellulose, sodium carboxymethyl starch (type A), colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate, and a film coating consisting of hypromellose, titanium dioxide, and macrogol 400.
Adults and adolescents over 12 years: The recommended starting dose is 10 mg once daily. If symptoms persist, the dose may be increased to 20 mg once daily.
SIDE EFFECTS AND PRECAUTIONS
Common side effects include headache, dry mouth, and drowsiness. Less frequently reported effects are pharyngitis, abdominal pain, dyspepsia, asthenia, epistaxis, rhinitis, sinusitis, nausea, and insomnia.
Espa-Bastin can be taken with or without food. However, taking it with food may increase its bioavailability.

Store in dry place at room temperature. Do not exceed storage temperature higher than 25 degrees Celcius. Keep away from direct sunlight. Keep locked and away from children.
