DESCRIPTION
DEE-X-1 (Doxycycline) is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that is employed in the treatment of numerous bacterial infections. It is effective against bacteria such as Moraxella catarrhalis, Brucella melitensis, Chlamydia pneumoniae, and Mycoplasma pneumoniae. Additionally, doxycycline is used in the prevention and treatment of serious conditions like anthrax, leptospirosis, bubonic plague, and Lyme disease.
DEE-X-1 (Doxycycline) inhibits protein synthesis in bacteria by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit, blocking bacterial growth and replication. It is lipophilic, well-absorbed orally, and distributes extensively in tissues and body fluids. Anti-inflammatory effects at sub-antimicrobial doses are also clinically exploited for rosacea.

Duration of therapy is typically 7–10 days for infections; acne/rosacea may require longer, malaria protection for entire exposure plus 4 weeks after leaving. Take on an empty stomach, with plenty of water, remain upright for 30 min to minimize throat irritation.
Avoid pregnancy and breastfeeding unless absolutely necessary.
Avoid antacids/supplements containing magnesium, calcium, aluminum, zinc, or iron within a few hours of dosing due to reduced absorption.
