Description
CLOVATE® (Clobetasol, Butavate) is used on the skin to treat swelling, itching and irritation. It can help with skin problems such as: eczema, including contact dermatitis and psoriasis. It takes about one to three days for clobetasol propionate to start working when it is being used to treat eczema. Some improvement in symptoms such as inflammation (redness) and itching, should be noticed within this time.

DESCRIPTION
Clobetasol propionate is classed as a very potent topical corticosteroid and is used in addition to moisturisers (emollients) for treating inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema and dermatitis. It's used when patches of eczema or dermatitis flare up. Clobetasol propionate relieves the symptoms of a flare-up by reducing inflammation, itching and redness. It is not a cure for the condition, but it will help to relieve the symptoms.
PACKAGING
CLOVATE® comes in the form of topical cream.
1 gram of cream contains:
Active ingredients: clobetasol propionate 500 mcg.
Auxiliary ingredients: white petrolatum - 252 mg, propylene glycol - 100 mg, polysorbate 40 - 53 mg, disodium edetate - 0.2 mg, chlorocresol - 1 mg, glyceryl monostearate - 31 mg, liquid paraffin - 23 mg, cetostearyl alcohol (cetyl alcohol and stearyl alcohol in a ratio of 6: 4) - 69 mg, triglycerides of octanoic and decanoic acids - 15 mg, sodium citrate - 0.5 mg, colloidal silicon dioxide - 1 mg, citric acid - 0.5 mg, Hemoderm 841 flavoring - 0 , 3 mg, purified water - up to 1000 mg.
DOSAGE
A small amount of the cream is applied to the affected surface of the skin 1-2 times a day, rubbing gently.
Do not use the drug under an occlusive dressing and carry out treatment without interruption for more than 2 weeks.
PRECAUTIONS
Hypersensitivity to clobetasol propionate, to other GCS, to other components of the drug; bacterial, viral and fungal skin infections; rosacea and acne, perioral dermatitis; condition after vaccination; children under 12 years old; pregnancy and lactation.
SIDE EFFECTS
Local reactions: acne, steroid purpura, inhibition of epidermal growth, atrophy of subcutaneous tissue, dry skin, hypertrichosis or alopecia, hypo- or hyperpigmentation of the skin, atrophy of the skin and striae, telangiectasias, perioral dermatitis, inflammation of the hair follicles, secondary infection.
STORAGE
Store in dry place at room temperature. Keep away from direct sunlight. Do not freeze. Keep locked and away from children.
