DESCRIPTION

Atomoxetine is a medicine used to help people with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). It helps improve focus, reduce impulsiveness, and calm hyperactivity. Unlike some ADHD medicines, atomoxetine is not a stimulant and works by increasing a natural brain chemical called norepinephrine, which helps control behavior and attention.

Atomoxetine works by increasing the amount of a natural brain chemical called norepinephrine (also called noradrenaline). In simple terms, norepinephrine helps your brain pay attention and control impulses better. Atomoxetine blocks the part of brain cells that usually take norepinephrine back in after it sends a signal, so more of it stays active where it’s needed to improve focus, calm restlessness, and reduce impulsive behavior. PACKAGING & DOSAGE
Atomoxetine comes the form of tablets. Each tablet contains active ingredient - atomoxetine - 10-40 mg.
For oral administration with or without food 1-2 times/day. The first pill should be taken early in the morning and the second one in the early evening.

Dosage:
Kids and adolescent with the weight less than 70kg: initial daily dose is 0.5mg/kg, which is increased up to 1.2mg.kg not earlier than 3 days.
Adults and kids with weight over 70 kg: initial daily dose is 40mg, which is increased up to 80mg in 3 days.
Recommended maintenance dose is 80mg.
