DESCRIPTION
Altace (ramipril) is used to reduce high blood pressure (hypertension) by reducing or relaxing blood vessels and to reduce the risk of stroke, heart attack. It reduces stress on the heart and relaxes the blood vessels so that blood can flow more easily. The drug may also be used to treat heart failure in patients who have had a recent heart attack.
Altace widens the blood vessels and makes it easier for the heart to pump blood around your body, thereby lowering your blood pressure. Controlled blood pressure reduces the risk of having a heart attack, stroke, or kidney problems. The medicine must be taken regularly as prescribed to be effective.

Active ingredient: Altace 10 mg.
The pill is blue capsule-shape with imprint ALTACE 10 mg. Take by mouth with or without food as directed by your doctor, usually once or twice daily, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
The dosage is based on your medical condition and response to treatment. For the treatment of high blood pressure, it may take several weeks before you get the full benefit of this medication.
