DESCRIPTION
Abiranamo contains the active constituent abiraterone acetate. It is used in adult men to treat prostate cancer, which has spread to other parts of the body. It is usually given with steroid medication to lower the chances of side effects. When Abiranamo is prescribed for an early stage of this disorder, it is used with testosterone lowering treatment. This medicine is not for use in women or children. Effective contraception must be taken throughout the treatment. This medicine contains lactose and sodium; inform your physician if you are lactose intolerant or on a salt-controlled diet.
Abiranamo, do not cure prostate cancer but can help manage and slow its progression. Abiraterone is used in combination with other treatments, like prednisone, to reduce the production of androgens (male hormones), which fuel the growth of prostate cancer. While it improves survival rates and quality of life in patients, it is not considered a curative treatment.
Abiranamo 250mg Tablet is not a chemotherapy treatment. It is a hormonal treatment used to treat prostate cancer. It prevents the production of testosterone thereby reducing the growth of prostate cancer.

SIDE EFFECTS
Abiranamo contains abiraterone acetate which may interact with several other therapies. It can enhance the effects of certain therapies like blood thinners (warfarin) and other therapies metabolized by the liver. It may also interfere with blood pressure therapies and corticosteroids.
It is not safe to consume Abiranamo during pregnancy. Abiraterone acetate, the active ingredient, can harm the unborn baby and is strictly contraindicated for use in pregnant women. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should avoid handling broken or crushed tablets to prevent exposure.
