The main action of the drug is to oxygenate and activate cerebral metabolism.

DESCRIPTION
Vinpotropile has several actions, including increasing cerebral blood flow and metabolism, antioxidant, neuroprotection, cognition enhancement and anticonvulsant. Vinpotropile has vinpocetine as its active substance. Vinpocetine is synthesized from vincamine. Vincamine is considered to be a cerebral vasolidator. As a drug improving cerebral blood flow Vinpotropile enhances glucose transport to the brain, decreases aggregation of platelets and blood hyperviscosity. As a nootropic or "smart" drug Vinpotropile enhances cerebral integrative activity, enables memory consolidation, and facilitates the process of learning.

PACKAGING & DOSAGE
Vinpotropile comes in capsules. Each capsule contains Vinpocetine (5 mg) and Piracetam (400 mg).
Dose for patients 18 years old and over: 1-2 capsules orally, before meal, 2-3 times a day. The last intake is 4 hours before bedtime.
Maintenance dose: 1 capsule 3 times a day.
Period of intake: 2-3 weeks up to 2-6 months. Before cessation of therapy the dosage should be gradually reduced.
