DESCRIPTION
Utrogestan is often used in pregnancy It helps prepare the uterus (the part inside a woman’s belly where a baby can grow) to support a baby during pregnancy. If a woman’s body doesn’t make enough progesterone, Utrogestan can help by giving extra progesterone to keep the uterus ready and strong. Utrogestan is also used as a part of hormone replacement therapy in women who have passed menopause (the change of life) and have not had a hysterectomy (surgery to remove the uterus). Hormone replacement therapy usually includes estrogen, which is used to treat symptoms of menopause and reduce the risk of developing certain diseases. However, estrogen can also cause abnormal thickening of the lining of the uterus and increase the risk of developing uterine cancer. Progesterone helps to prevent this thickening and decreases the risk of developing uterine cancer. Progesterone is also used to bring on menstruation (period) in women of childbearing age who have had normal periods and then stopped menstruating.

The medication is taken orally in the evening before going to bed with water.
Active ingredient: Natural progesterone micronized - 100 mg.
Excipients: Sunflower oil 149 mg, soy lecithin 1 mg.
Capsule: gelatin 76.88 mg, glycerin 31.45 mg and titanium dioxide 1.67 mg.
Consult your doctor for dosage regime. In most cases, with progesterone deficiency, the daily dose is 200-300 mg, divided into 2 doses (200 mg - in the evening, before bedtime and 100 mg - in the morning, if necessary).
