Tofistrip (Tofisopam) belongs to the 2,3-benzodiazepine class and exhibits anxiolytic effects without causing sedation, muscle relaxation, or cognitive/motor impairment typical of traditional benzodiazepines. It has mild stimulant properties and a favorable safety profile, with a low risk of dependence and fewer side effects. It functions partly through inhibition of certain phosphodiesterase (PDE) isoenzymes (notably PDE-4A1, PDE-10A1, and PDE-2A3), which may contribute to its antipsychotic and antidepressant effects besides its anxiolytic action.

SIDE EFFECTS AND PRECAUTIONS
