DESCRIPTION
Pantogam has as its structure the gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA). The mechanism of action is a direct effect by Pantogam on GABA-B-receptor-channel complex. The drug increases brain resistance to hypoxia and the effects of toxic substances, stimulates anabolic processes in neurons, has an anticonvulsant effect, reduces the excitability of the motor. Promotes normalisation of GABA metabolism in chronic alcohol intoxication and the subsequent ethanol use stoppage. Also has an analgesic effect. Causes inhibition of pathologically increased vesical reflex and detrusor tone.

PACKAGING & DOSAGE
One pack contains 50 pills of 250 or 500 mg each.
To be taken orally 15-30 minutes after breakfast and lunch.
Can be taken by children from 3 years old upwards.
For adults:
Single dose 250-1000 mg, daily dose 1500-3000 mg.
For children:
Single dose 250-500 mg, daily dose 750-2000 mg.
Course of treatment is 1-4 months, sometimes 6 months. A break of 3-6 months is required between courses of treatment.
