DESCRIPTION
Dutaheal is used for older men who have trouble because their prostate, an organ near the bladder, gets too big. It helps to shrink the prostate so that men can pee more easily.
Dutaheal contains dutasteride, which belongs to 5-alpha reductase inhibitors. It stops the body from turning the hormone testosterone into another hormone called DHT (dihydrotestosterone), which makes the prostate grow bigger. By lowering DHT, the medicine shrinks the prostate and helps with peeing.
Usual dose is one tablet (0.5 mg) once every day for adult men, swallowed whole with water. Dutaheal must be taken regularly for at least 3 to 6 months for full effect.
