ATROPINE (Atropen, Daturin) ophthalmic solution which is used before eye examinations to dilate (open) the pupil, the black part of the eye through which you see. It is also used to relieve pain caused by swelling and inflammation of the eye.

DESCRIPTION
To dilate the pupil and achieve accommodation paralysis: determination of the true refraction of the eye, examination of the fundus; creation of functional rest in inflammatory diseases of the eye (including iritis, iridocyclitis, choroiditis, keratitis), with eye injuries, embolism and spasm of the central retinal artery. Atropine (Isopto Atropine) is not a steroid eye drop. Instead, atropine (Isopto Atropine) belongs to a class of medications called anticholinergics, and it works by blocking certain (muscarinic) receptors in the eye.

PACKAGE & DOSAGE
The product comes in eye drops vial.
Active ingredient: Atropine sulfate on a dry matter basis - 10 mg.
Excipients: sodium chloride - 7.8 mg, sodium disulfite (sodium metabisulfite) - 0.1 mg, water for injection up to 1 ml.

Please seek your doctor's advise before using Atropine. The standard regimen is: locally, 1-2 drops of a 1% solution are used in the sore eye, the frequency of application is up to 3 times with an interval of 5-6 hours.

STORAGE
It is recommended to store the medicine in a dark place at a temperature not exceeding 25°C.
